Advance Your Procedural Reach
Modern clips offer a quick solution for closing small defects, but are limited by their size and rely on mucosal fixation. Using multiple clips to close a larger defect becomes costly and does not ensure a secure closure during the healing process. the OverStitch™ Endoscopic Suturing System allows you to close defects and engage healthy tissue giving you advantage to address defects of any size and tissue quality. Full thickness suturing incorporates the muscle layer and allows more stable construct during the healing process.
Gastric Bypass Revisions
The gastric pouch and/or outlet of a bypass patient can dilate over time. Unfortunately, there are a few options available to these patients to help reverse this process. The OverStitch™ Endoscopic Suturing System gives physicians the flexibility and control to reduce a patient’s pouch and outlet to a preferred size – allowing for a reduced stomach pouch volume and delayed content passage across the outlet. Full thickness sutures ensure the pouch and outlet size is maintained until the tissue is healed.
Large Area Tissue Approximation
With the ability to customize suture patterns and approximate a large area of tissue, the OverStitch Endoscopic Suturing System allows a physician to place either a single or multiple sutures and reduce the volume capacity of the stomach. Full thickness suturing maintains the reduced shape while serosal to serosal and intraluminal tissue apposition occurs.
